Sessions/Tracks

Tissue Engineering 2020 Sessions:

Session On: Tissue Engineering

Tissue engineering includes the utilization of a tissue scaffold for the development of new reasonable tissue for the medicinal applications. These tissues basically involve some properties like structure and function to have a better understanding. Advancements in the multidisciplinary field of tissue engineering have yielded a novel development in tissue rearrangements and their techniques. Apart from that advances in biomaterials, stem cells, development and differentiation factors have a chance to create tissues in the research centre from combinations of engineered extracellular grids, cells, and naturally dynamic particles.

Session On: Tissue Science and Cancer

Stem Cells have been used to treat various kinds of human tumours and it is considered to an alluring focus for growth treatment. Through stem cells, they can produce tumours of self- renewal. Advancements for treatments increased the survival and personal satisfaction for growth patients. Most common skin diseases like melanoma occur for 2- 3 million individuals each year. The concept of tissue specificity of genetic alterations in cancer provides general hypotheses to help explain the biological phenomenon.

Session On: Tissue repair and Rejuvenation

Generally, tissue repair has the difficulty to have a life quality and survival of patients. If our body’s repair capacity is impaired or overwhelmed it leads to chronic and fibrotic healing. One of the well-known applications of regenerative medicine is the replacement of injured or aged tissues into functional tissues which are the natural repair program of our body. e.g., inflammatory, immune, and fibrotic responses. But still, the mystery in regenerative medicine is the comparison of humans during evolution in which the lower organisms can regenerate whole organs.

Session On: Tissue engineering and Stem cell

Some of the tissue phenotypes include the derivation of differentiation of stem cells from the embryonic development. Even though they are well known with the invitro determinants, there are some external or non-biological forces which play a key role in the results. The Stem cell can be of any two sources which include adult and embryonic stem cells. The potency of cells diver with pluripotent, multipotent or totipotency. Furthermore, the developments in custom scaffold design and manufacture highlight laser sintering, novel multi-use temperature-sensitive injectable materials, supercritical carbon dioxide processing, growth factor incorporation and zoning and plasma modification of scaffold surfaces.

Session On:  Future perspective for  Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine can be characterized as a therapeutic intervention which replaces the cells and tissues to function normally. It manages the diverse remedial uses like stem cell for tissue repair, tissue damage and healing, cell treatment for recovery, impacts of tissue repair, regeneration and degeneration. This focuses on developing techniques that can mimic the perfectly engineered autoregulation's healing, cell division, cell maturation and homeostasis in tissue. We have come a long way in new avenues to replace damaged tissue, deliver stem cells in areas of degeneration, help to heal skin wounds and reduce ageing. The worldwide market is expected to reach $25.5 billion by 2011 and required to reach $65 billion stamps by 2024.

Session On: Tissue Regeneration

Tissue regeneration is attempted to regenerate the structures by the responses of tissues. The bone regeneration is referred to as periodontal Therapy. Biomedical advancements and innovations include regenerative tissue engineering and their novel technologies. The terms “tissue engineering” and “regenerative medicine” have become largely compatible, as the field hopes to focus on cures instead of treatments for complex and chronic diseases. The market for tissue regeneration products such as scaffolds, tissue implants was $55.9 billion in 2010 and it hopes to be $135 billion by 2024.

Session On: Tissue and Biochips

Biochips is a functional unit, which has the ability to perform multiple works parallelly. Tissue chips are similar to biochips which work as an alternate for tissue to enable the organ function normally. These biochips and tissue chips play a major role in the field of tissue engineering. Microarrays which has its application over the micromechanical studies have a 2D grid system which has a solid substrate of positively charges like silicon or glass. They perform the best role in signal transduction studies.

Session On: Wound healing

Wound healing is one of the natural regenerative processes by interacting with a complex cellular particle for the strengthening of the injured skin or tissues. Traditionally, the healing process is of 4 phases: haemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and maturation. Basically, the healing occurs from the edges to inwards and bottom to top. The deep of the wound determines how well it will heal. The exudative, proliferative, and are sequential events that occur through the integration of dynamic processes involving soluble mediators, blood cells, and parenchymal cells.

Session On: Ageing and rejuvenation

Ageing remains one of the greatest mysteries of biology. Recent studies show that the rate of ageing is modified by genetic and environmental factors, but it also can be reversed, restoring characteristics of youthfulness to aged cells and tissues. Thus, focuses on the emerging biology of rejuvenation through the lens of epigenetic reprogramming. Among organ systems, rejuvenation of the central nervous system (CNS) is arguably the most complex and challenging of tasks due to its startling structure and functional complexity and its restricted capacity for repair. Thus, the prospect of meaningful rejuvenation of the CNS has seemed an impossible goal but advances in stem cell science make it possible.

Session On: Bio-Banking

The Biospecimens in Biobanking include tissues, blood, saliva, plasma and DNA that are maintained and preserved in the libraries as a continuous cell line which in turn will be useful for future applications. Biobanks have a specification for every trait based on the age, gender, quality and blood group, tissue grafts and some more. Samples are categorized based on the environmental issues and based on the donor if he is exposed to radiation or another substance that may substantially influence human genes. Researchers access bio-banks once they need a specimen with similar traits for their research studies.
